Fun times with my grandsons
Welcome to my “All Things Nanny” section of our blog. In this section I will be sharing with you some of the fun and adventures had with my two grandsons. This will be anything from fun days out, arts and crafts, meals, reviews and anything in between. If you would like to collaborate with us, please do check our “contact us” section for contact details, where we will be happy to discuss things further with you.
Our first born grandson Dylan was born in September 2020. He is a fun and energetic little boy who most certainly makes the most of living his best life!
Our 2nd grandson is due in February 2023 – we can’t wait to meet him.
Fun day’s out
We enjoyed a day out together, visiting The London Transport Museum Depot. Dylan absolutely loved seeing all the old busses and trains, dating back well over 100 years. We had a great day out whilst Dylan was learning through play.
If you would like to read the full review on our day out you will find the review >here<
One of our spare rooms has been turned into a grand-kids bedroom. We have made the room into a jungle themed room Dylan absolutely loves the theme and we hope grandson number 2 will too!
Dylan absolutely loves all animals, he enjoys days out when we visit local farms, zoos and wildlife parks. Would you like a sneaky-peek of their bedroom theme? if you would then click >here< to have a peek!
Watching imaginations grow
Watching Dylan’s character starting to shine through has been beautiful. He is so cheeky, funny, kind and loving. We have all been doing our best to support Dylan be himself and also help his imagination grow. Imaginative and creative play has got to be one of Dylan’s favorite things. Take a look >here< at how we have been supporting this with Dylan.
On one of our fun adventure days we enjoyed a family trip into London. We all headed off to Canary Wharf where Dylan enjoyed being Captain Dylan for the day. We enjoyed family fun time aboard the GoBoat – if you would like to see what Captain Dylan got up to click >here<.
As you can imagine, when Dylan comes to stay at our house everything has to be put up out of his reach that we wouldn’t want him touching. As he is at the age now where he is in to everything – when I say everything…..I mean “EVERYTHING” – everything has to be what I call it -“put on the ceiling”.
With Dylan being a toddler who is into everything and me being a fun Nan who likes to have fun days out with him. Where better to take him other than to the Upside Down House to keep him highly entertained. Read all about our fun day >here<.
Projects
Myself and Dylan really enjoyed working on a summer project together. We watched caterpillars grow and become beautiful butterflies. >Read our full project and experience here<
We share a lot of our fun over on TikTok – if you are also on TikTok come over and say hi.
